About
And this one is a little bit special. ❤️
At Sydney Tango Collective, we believe that growing tango means supporting the next generation of dancers AND musicians and giving young talent a real place within our tango community.
🎻🪗 At 2pm, Nostálgico Tango Orchestra, directed by the wonderful Owen Salomé & Jacinta McPhillamy, will open our milonga! These 12 young musicians have been learning and working on tango, and now they get the most important ingredient of all: YOU, the dancers! Come dance to their music, encourage them, make some noise and be the warm, welcoming crowd we know our tango community can be. ❤️
But before that… Mona & Mo are getting you into the milonga groove! 😏💃
1–2pm | STC Workshop: Let’s Dance Milonga! | Open Level
We’ll play with the rhythm, energy and cheekiness of milonga and get those feet nicely warmed up for the afternoon.
After the live music performance, our young musicians hand the music over to DJ Alex, and from there… we leave the afternoon in his capable and slightly dangerous hands. 😏🎧🔥
📅 Sunday 27 September 2026
⏰ Workshop 1–2pm | Orchestra 2pm | Milonga 2–5pm
📍 Paddington Uniting Church, 395 Oxford Street, Paddington
🎟 $15 entry
Come learn, dance, give love to some beautiful young talent and spend Sunday afternoon with us. Bomboncito is for everyone, and the shy ones are especially welcome. 🍬❤️
