RYDA Road Safety Workshop
9:15am – 2:00pm
The Entertainment Grounds
Years 10, 11 & 12
$15 per student
Central Coast homeschool students are invited to participate in a dedicated RYDA Road Safety Workshop delivered by Road Safety Education Australia.
RYDA is a practical and interactive road safety education program specifically designed for senior high school students.
Rather than relying on scare tactics, RYDA equips young people with practical tools, strategies and understanding to help them make safer choices on the road — both as drivers and as passengers.
THE WORKSHOP
Students will participate in six 30-minute interactive sessions throughout the day.
Sessions are delivered in smaller groups to encourage participation and engagement and focus on practical road safety education, decision-making and strategies young people can use in real-life situations.
WHO CAN ATTEND?
This workshop is for homeschooled students in Years 10, 11 or 12.
Students do not need to have their learner licence or be currently learning to drive. The program addresses road safety for young people both as drivers and passengers.
COST
$15 per student
The actual cost of delivering the RYDA program is substantially higher, with the homeschool rate subsidised through support provided to Road Safety Education.
WHAT TO BRING
Students should bring:
• Lunch, snacks and drinks for the day
• Any personal items they require
Families are responsible for arranging transport to and from Gosford Race Club.
