The Rite Journey Homecoming Ceremony is shortly after. This event is the culmination of The Rite Journey program for our Year 9’s. This ceremony involves reflection from the beginning where the students were “Called” and “Departed” from childhood and have taken on challenges throughout the year to now emerge as young adults stepping into greater responsibility.
You will witness some of the mentor projects on display during “The Rite Journey Showcase Walk” and see your child receive their certificate of completion and official badge.
We understand that sometimes it may be hard to take time off from work. For this event, as it’s the official Rite Journey ceremony, if you are unable to attend, we welcome you to send another family representative (grandparents, aunty, uncle etc.) or close family friend. We just ask that you advise us via Michelle Hogan - m.hogan@carmichael.qld.edu.au of who is coming in replacement of you so that we may warmly welcome them into our Carmichael community.
Our heart is to see that every child has a representative to share this moment with, however, we need to also manage the number of guests due to the limited capacity in our chapel. Therefore, there is allocated 3 tickets per student for family/family representatives and their mentor.
