About

Polish Pioneer Descendants Picnic

Pioneer descendants of the Polish families who arrived aboard the barque August in 1856 are warmly invited to join us for a 170th Anniversary Picnic Day Celebration on Sunday 4th of October 2026 at Polish Hill River Church Museum, 225b Polish Hill River Road (right next to Pikes Winery), honouring their arrival at Port Adelaide and the founding of the Hill River—now Polish Hill River—settlement. We will be there from Saturday 3rd October until Monday 5th Oct 2026. Caravaners welcome, SMS 0427654017 and leave your details for a call back.
