Step away from the classroom and experience professional development differently.
VET in the Wild is a unique full-day industry immersion experience designed specifically for VET teachers who want to strengthen their industry currency, connect with contemporary practice, collaborate with colleagues and bring fresh ideas back to their students.
The day will take you across some of Werribee’s most iconic destinations, beginning with an immersive visit and behind-the-scenes industry experience at Werribee Open Range Zoo, followed by lunch and an inspiring presentation by the Executive Chef at Werribee Mansion, before finishing at Shadowfax Winery with a wine tasting and presentation from the Head Winemaker.
Importantly, this is more than a great day out.
Teachers will have dedicated time to undertake collaborative VET unit validation, exchange ideas with other VET practitioners and gather valuable evidence and insights that can contribute to maintaining vocational competency, industry currency and contemporary teaching practice.
It is professional learning that connects you directly with industry, people, workplaces and real-world practice — while creating opportunities to network, reflect and learn from other VET educators.
