Tree of Life: Four Perspectives (SOLD OUT)

The Jewish Museum of Australia: Gandel Centre of Judaica is delighted to invite you to the opening of Tree of Life: Four Perspectives on Thursday 8 October 2026.

The exhibition centres on the 2026 Eva and Marc Besen Contemporary Artist Commission, presenting a new sculptural work by award-winning artist Joel Adler in the Museum’s forecourt. Titled It Is a Tree of Life, Adler’s sculpture draws on the themes and symbolism of the Tree of Life within Jewish mysticism and Kabbalah.

Accompanying the Commission in the Krongold Gallery downstairs are works by local artists Tunni Kraus, Amichai Lankri and Jonathan Tversky, offering additional perspectives on the interconnectedness of the natural, human and spiritual realms in Jewish thought and culture. Kraus’ work is inspired by the extensively researched family tree of community genealogist and historian Liz James.

As valued friends and supporters of the Museum, we warmly invite you to join us for the opening of Tree of Life: Four Perspectives.

Thursday 8 October 2026, doors open at 5.45pm for a 6pm start.
