Come and see the galloping hooves and the arrows fly at the 2026 Horse Archery extravaganza at Tarago in the Southern Tablelands of NSW.
Over two back-to-back weekends you can enjoy Australia's and even some of the world's best horse archers fight it out to see who's best.
First up from 9 to 11 October 2026 come on down and see Australia's best compete for the 2026 Australian National Championship Title with walk, trot and canter classes all represented. Then from 16 to 18 October 2026 come on down and see Australia take on the Oceania Region with competitors from Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, New Zealand and Singapore all competing to see who which country will be the inaugural Oceania Region Champion!

So come on down and cheer Australia on at the first international horse archery competition to take place on Australian soil!

Friday 11 October 2026 - Australian National Championships - Straight Tracks in walk, trot and canter in all paces.
Saturday 12 October 2026 - Australian National Championships - Straight Tracks in walk, trot and canter in all paces.
Sunday - 13 October 2026 - Australian National Championships - Hunt Track in walk, trot and canter

Friday 16 October 2026 - Oceanic Regional International Championships - Tower track (Canter pace)
Saturday 17 October 2026 - Oceanic Regional International Championships - Raid Track (Canter pace)
Sunday 18 October 2026 - Oceanic Regional International Championships - Hunt Track (Canter pace)

Each day of the Nationals will follow a rough schedule of canter tracks from 0900 - 1130, trot from 1130 - 1330 and walk from 1330 - 1600. Times and running order are given as a guide only and subject to change due to safety, weather conditions, running order issues or other concerns.

The Oceanic Championships is a canter only competition and will run from 0900 - 1500 each day approximately each day. Canter is the only pace represented.
