Diver Dave will take us on an adventure to:
🌊 Develop a better understanding of the ocean and the incredible sea life that lives right here on our doorstep.
🎣 Discover one of the most ancient forms of fishing — spearfishing — and learn about its significance in local Indigenous culture and way of life over thousands of years.
🐚 Find out how shells grow and what they are made from, then have fun with a shell matching and naming game.
🐌 Touch and feel amazing sea creatures, including elephant snails, sea urchins, beautiful sea stars, abalone and maybe even a lobster or crab!
🦈 Be amazed by massive shark jaws and fascinating prehistoric fossils.
🦷 Discover just how big the Megalodon shark could grow and examine a real 15 cm Megalodon tooth!
🎨 Get creative by drawing your favourite sea creature or ocean scene and sharing what makes it special to you.
♻️ Learn how to become an Ocean Warrior and help protect our beaches and rock pools — especially from plastic and rubbish.
Come along for a morning of discovery, hands-on fun and ocean-sized adventures! 🌊🐚🦈
