UPPER WOODLANDS, A Private Country Estate Garden Experience, Open for One Day Only

Discover this stunning three-hectare private garden near historic Berrima. Recently renovated and expanded for spring, wander through woodland glades, formal gardens, ponds and pathways, with sweeping views across the Southern Highlands countryside. Discover the garden’s remarkable ha-ha, creating the illusion that the garden flows seamlessly into the landscape beyond.

Come for the garden, stay for the experience. Bring your friends and pack a picnic to relax in one of the most picturesque private gardens in the Southern Highlands. 

SUNDAY 1 NOVEMBER 2026, 10am - 3pm

  • Shop the Plant Stalll by Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens

  • Bring your own picnic, drinks and a rug or chairs, and settle in to enjoy the garden at your own pace

  • Guided Garden Tours: Join garden owner Charles Moore for a special guided tour and discover the garden’s history, development and vision. Tours run for 30 minutes at 10.30am, 11.30am, 12.30pm and 1.30pm.


Tickets:

Gardent Entry Ticket: $20 per person (Children 16 and under: FREE and do not require a ticket).

Add on a Guided Tour ticket: $10 per person (Children 16 and under: FREE with an adult and do not require a ticket).

All proceeds from entry tickets, guided garden tours and plant stall sales go directly towards supporting the not-for-profit Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens.

A rare opportunity to explore one of the Southern Highlands’ most picturesque private gardens. 

Please note: Dogs are not permitted, except assistance dogs.

Accessibility: The majority of the garden is accessible, however many paths are grassed and may be uneven, with some steps and steeply sloping areas. Please also note that the garden includes large, open water features.
