Spring Fling Barn Dance - A Connecting Communities Event
Location
Inman Valley Community & Memorial Hall
About
A Connecting Communities Event proudly sponsored by the Department of Primary Industries and Regions through the Family and Business Support Program as part of the South Australian Government's $97 million Drought Support Package.
The Victor Harbor region has faced a range of ongoing rural challenges, including drought, increasing cost-of-living pressures, and growing social isolation, particularly among older residents, young families, and those living in surrounding rural communities. These challenges have affected community wellbeing and weakened the social connections and informal support networks that have traditionally helped communities thrive.
Through its work within the local community, the SACWA Victor Harbor Evening Branch has witnessed these impacts firsthand and recognises the vital role that social connection plays in supporting mental health, wellbeing, and community resilience.
To help strengthen these connections, an Ole Fashioned 'Spring Fling Barn Dance' is being held as a fun, inclusive, and family-friendly community event that brings people together to reconnect, celebrate, and enjoy the simple pleasure of shared experiences.
Twilight market stalls, a variety of children's games and activities, delicious food with plenty of opportunities to reconnect with friends, family, and neighbours and meet new people. As the evening unfolds, guests can enjoy line dancing, great music, and old-fashioned country hospitality in a welcoming and supportive atmosphere.
This alcohol-free event will feature live entertainment by local country band Wheelhouse; blending country roots with high-energy modern country, to get everyone up and on the dancefloor.
Ticket Prices (plus fees): $10 single (adult), Family $30 (2 adults + 3 children) includes: Food, Drinks (Soft drinks/Tea/Coffee) and Entertainment
