About

The Asian Australian Foundation invites you to join us as we launch A New Chapter for the Foundation. After celebrating a decade of AAF in 2025, we return to the State Library of Victoria to share our vision for the next decade of the AAF as we continue in our mission to Give Voice and Inspire Change.

We invite you to join our intimate circle of community leaders, creators, and supporters for a special morning of culture and discovery, where we will have the opportunity to uncover stories of Asian Australians through an exclusive viewing of artefacts from the Library’s special collection, as well as private access to the Library’s You Have a New Memory exhibition.

We will also hear from Dr Timothy Kendall, the inaugural Asian Australian Foundation Fellow, who will unveil the exciting research he will undertake at the Library.

Morning Experience & Highlights:

Exclusive Special Collections Viewing - Exclusive viewing of items from the Library’s special collections.

Private Exhibition Viewing - Private pre-hours access to the North Rotunda and the You Have a New Memory exhibition.

AAF Fellowship Presentation - Hear directly from Dr Timothy Kendall as he reveals his research into early Asian-Australian studio portraiture and archival records.

Peer Community & Discussion - Connect over morning tea with fellow leaders, philanthropists, and State Library Victoria executive leadership.
