Rakali @ The Milk Barn

Emerging from the release of their sophomore album, Rakali invite you to join them for an evening of collective improvisation and anomalous absurdity at The Milk Barn, a beautiful location in the Adelaide Hills.

Nominated for a South Australian Music Award and fresh from a set with Creative Original Music Adelaide, this show will be a celebration and reflection of Rakali's two albums, 'Stratigraphy', and 'Astrum', both released this year.  The group features ten members from the Elder Conservatorium of Music, each bringing their own unique voice to the band's sound.

Rakali are ecstatic to be playing two sets on Friday the 20th of November, showcasing their ambient and then groove-driven sides respectively. Just like their namesake, the Australian-native water rat, Rakali's sound contrasts between being airy and contemplative, and frenetic and untamed.

Doors at 7
First set (ambient) at 7:15pm
Second set (groove-driven) at 8:20pm

All music played at this event will be improvised live.
