Jessica Scott and Nathaniel Kong presents a musically evocative and diverse exploration of the flute repertoire from 20th century French, to modern local Australian and tango by Piazzolla. Wander through impressionistic colours, nature-inspired reflections to jazz improvisations and rhythms. Join us for an afternoon of showpieces that capture the vibrant colours of the flute's versatility and flair.

Flutist Jessica Scott is a versatile performer, specialising in orchestral, contemporary, improvised and experimental performance. A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, London (RAM, 2022) and Sydney Conservatorium of Music (SCM, 2019), she has performed across multiple festivals between Australia, the UK and USA, completing two fellowships in the UK (Open Academy Fellowship in Community Engagement), and the USA (Bang on a Can Performance Fellowship).

Recent projects have included Clockfire Theatre Company's RUINS production (2024, 2025 and 2026), Mimi’s Symphony by George Ellis and Justine Clarke on flute at the Opera House (2025 season), Momentum Ensemble's recent collaboration with NIDA ('Untold, 2025) and the recent release of Armistice Flute Choir's album 'Hope'. Upcoming projects and performances across Sydney include Clockfire Theatre Company's 2026 season of RUINS, the release of her solo electro-acoustic album, 'Lagu' (under her alias Aletta Louise), performing with SCALP Ensemble at Phoenix Central Park as guest flutist, and performances with the Armistice Flute Choir, after the recent release of their joint album 'Hope'.

Nathaniel Kong is a pianist, performer and teacher in Sydney. He was an award winner at the Australian Concerto & Vocal Competition in Townsville performing Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No.2. Performances have been with Operantics, Operabites, Lights On Theatre, Sydney Opera Society, Sydney Fringe Festival, Canberra Enlighten Festival, Cantorion Sydney Choir, Sydney Male Choir and the Mosman Symphony Chorus and Orchestra.

He studied under Gerard Willems at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, and with Zsuzsanna Giczy at the Australian Institute of Music. He has performed and worked across various styles from Armenian vocal folk music under soprano Arax Mansourian, to recording piano works of Australian composer Peter Stannard, and working with vocalists from opera, theatre and jazz. As well as piano, he plays pipe organ regularly and was head cellist of the UNSW Orchestra. He is based at Sydney Girls High school and at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts.
