During regular Friday Sport student will be taking part in recreational sports. Term 4 is a chance for students to experience sport in a recreational manner rather than in a competitive environment.
The program will run across Weeks 2–5 of Term 4 on the following Fridays:
16 October | 23 October | 30 October | 6 November.
The following options and the associated costs for each option are below:
🏄 Surfing – Currumbin Alley
Students will participate in supervised surfing sessions at Currumbin Alley, developing fundamental surfing skills, confidence, water awareness and safe participation in an outdoor aquatic environment.
Spots available: 30 students
Session: 1:45pm–2:45pm
Bus: Depart school at 1:15pm | Return approximately 2:45pm
Cost: $100 per student
🧗 Indoor Rock Climbing – On Belay, Burleigh Heads
Students will travel to On Belay at 38 Hutchinson Street, Burleigh Heads to participate in supervised indoor climbing sessions. Students will be climbing in a controlled environment with Staff assisting in belaying and encouraging students in various climbing activities.
Places: 22 students
Session: 1:45pm–2:45pm
Bus: Depart school at 1:20pm | Return approximately 2:45pm
Cost: $100 per student
🏃 School Sport – On Campus
Students who select School Sport will remain on campus and participate in a variety of organised games and sporting activities each week. This option will provide an enjoyable and active afternoon of sport in a relax non competitive environment.
Places: Unlimited
Time: 1:30pm–3:10pm
Location: On campus
Cost: FREE
