Rules and Format
The greatest secondary chess event of the year
Venue: Tyndale Christian School, Fern Grove Boulevard, Salisbury East SA 5109
Date: 26 October (Monday) – Week 3
Times: Arrive at 9:30 am for a 10:00 am start. Competition finishes at 2:00 pm.
Games
All players play 7 games, regardless of whether they win or lose.
Lunch Break
Free lunch for all students and teache
Each school is allowed to send up to 10 students.
Number of spots is limited-please book early to avoid disappointment.
Costs: The entry fee is $30 per player
Prizes
Team scores are calculated by summing the points of the Top 4 scoring players from each school at the end of play.
Individual trophies are awarded only to the Top 4 scoring players from each of the 3 highest scoring schools.
The winning team will receive a trophy.
The 4 best individual players will each receive $150.
Certificates
Certificates will be awarded to every player on the following basis:
Award Points
High Distinction 6 or 7 points
Distinction 4 and 5 points
Participation 4 or below
