Walking 9 to 5
The Walking 9 to 5 Walkathon will be held on Saturday the 10th October, 2026. This is a student led initiative designed to support the charities normally sponsored by the Annual 45km Charity Walk from BMGS to Bungawarra: Compassion Australia, the Ibulanku School in Uganda and Greystanes Disability in Leura. Please register and support these worthy charities.
Registration for walkers opens through TryBooking on 18th September and is $30.00 per person. This registration cost will cover the expenses associated with running the day. A BBQ lunch and snacks will be available for all volunteers and walkers. Any excess funds will also be donated to the charities.
Registration is also sought for parent volunteers for which there is no charge. We would really appreciate helpers who could help out on the day by acting as course checkpoint supervisors. Please nominate the times that you might be available when you register.
Walkers are invited to walk as many laps of the cross-country track as they are able to from 9am in the morning to 5pm at night. Walkers are able to finish the event at any time and at any number of laps. Walkers of all ages are invited to participate – from pre-K to year 12 to alumni and family.
Please note: Walkers will be asked to register separately through GoRaiseIt to enable their sponsorship money to be readily collected.
