About
Join us in person at The University of Melbourne or online to celebrate progress in applied ethology across Oceania!
The 2026 ISAE Oceania Regional Meeting will bring together researchers from across the region to share the latest developments in applied animal behaviour and welfare science, connect with colleagues, and foster collaboration across Oceania.
We are delighted to welcome two plenary speakers:
Associate Professor Alexandra Whittaker is an animal welfare scientist, veterinarian and lawyer in the School of Animal and Veterinary Sciences at Adelaide University. Alexandra will present “From Behaviour to Better Decisions: The Expanding Influence of Applied Ethology”.
Associate Professor Sarah Cowie is an Associate Professor of Psychology in the Faculty of Science and Director of the Behaviour Lab at The University of Auckland. Sarah will present “First Impressions Last: Early-life Experiences Shape Behaviour and Productivity”.
Alongside our plenary presentations, the meeting will showcase research from across Oceania, covering a wide range of animal use settings.
