Stitch, Style and Upcycle Embroidery Workshop

About
Join Lily Adelaide Upton for a fun and relaxed embroidery workshop and give some of your favourite clothing or fabric items a new lease on life.
Bring along a t-shirt, hat, tote bag, shirt, pillowcase, or any fabric item you'd like to personalise. Lily will guide you through a selection of basic embroidery stitches before you choose from more than 40 unique designs to create your own embroidered masterpiece.
Suitable for complete beginners and experienced stitchers alike, this workshop uses easy-to-follow 'stick and stitch' patterns that adhere to your fabric and wash away with water once your design is complete. Embroidery is a slow and mindful craft, so you may not finish your project during the workshop, but you'll take home everything you need to continue stitching at your own pace.
The workshop will be a relaxed, fun atmosphere. Perfection is absolutely not the goal and Lily will be on hand throughout the session to offer guidance, troubleshoot techniques, and help bring your ideas to life.
You will get to choose up to 3 patterns, and 3 full skeins of embroidery floss! You’ll also get a 5-inch embroidery hoop and an embroidery needle to take home.
What to bring: You will need to bring a fabric item to upcycle, such as a t-shirt, cap, tote bag, shirt or pillowcase. As the embroidery patterns dissolve in water, your item will need to be suitable for washing. If you're unsure what to bring, fabric will also be available for you to stitch and display in your embroidery hoop.
What you'll get: A lesson on a few basic and versatile embroidery stitches, guidance and trouble shooting from Lily throughout the workshop, up to 3 stick and stitch embroidery patterns, up to 3 skeins of embroidery floss and a 5-inch embroidery hoop & an embroidery needle
This workshop is perfect for anyone looking to learn a new skill, get creative, and transform everyday items into something uniquely their own.
