Two of Sydney's most dynamic emerging talents, tenor saxophonist Luke Varde and pianist/ vocalist George Holahan-Cantwell ('George HC'), deliver a fresh, exciting exploration of the classic jazz tradition. Luke and George have built stellar reputations across the local circuit for their technical mastery, deep rhythmic groove, and collaborative energy. 

Luke Varde is an emerging, jazz saxophonist, already getting heaps of attention in the city's vibrant young jazz scene, known for his interpretations of jazz standards such as Blue Bossa or John Coltrane's solos, and showcasing complex, fast-paced arrangements and improvisations. Luke is also a member of ensembles including The Underground Brass Band, a 6-piece collective featuring some of Sydney's top young jazz heavyweights that blends high-energy brass with street-influenced sounds.

George HC is a young jazz pianist and vocalist who curates and performs at inner-city jazz residencies, including the 'Chapel Row Jazz' nights at the Reagh Bar, leading quartets that bring together some of Sydney’s best young jazz instrumentalists for live jam and jazz sessions, rooted in the masterful playing of traditional jazz greats like Bill Evans, Oscar Peterson, and Benny Green.
