About
Join Us for our annual PUNK CATERPILLAR CAMPOUT: Village Camp!
Dates: January 11th–14th, 2027
Location: A beautiful, private property just outside of Daylesford
Come together with family and community for a four-day immersive experience that celebrates nature, creativity and connection. Our camp is open to all ages and offers a variety of hands-on workshops, including carving, natural dyeing, weaving and fire-by-friction.
What to Expect
Daily Dinners: Enjoy delicious, wholesome meals each evening, with options for everyone, including vegetarian and gluten-free choices.
Workshops & Activities: Dive into creative and practical skills like singing, weaving, carving, candle making, natural dyeing and fire-by-friction.
Lake & Games: Cool off in the five-acre lake and join daily games and activities run by Punk Caterpillar mentors.
Spaciousness & Connection: Plenty of room to relax, connect and enjoy nature. There will be a tea station, spring water and a dishwashing station to keep things running smoothly.
Kids Camp Area: Older kids (ages 11+) can enjoy their own dedicated camp area, fostering independence and fun with their peers. They are welcome to come without their parents if they are already connected to Punk Caterpillar programs.
Community Spirit and Village Tending: Everyone gets involved in daily tasks, from wash-up crews to fire tending, creating a true village atmosphere. We will have a rotating roster to keep things well tended and running smoothly as a Village.
Unplug and reconnect with nature, share stories around the fire and enjoy a peaceful, earth-based rhythm. This is more than just a camp; it’s a celebration of creativity, connection and community. Technology, phones, electronic games and devices are left at the door so we can truly step into the earth time and timelessness that this opportunity offers.
This camp is run by volunteers. Ticket prices cover the costs of hiring the venue, meals, firewood, incidentals, resources and feeding our volunteers. We also make a donation to Pay The Rent, with any additional funds feeding back into Punk Caterpillar programs and the overheads associated with the ongoing maintenance of our offerings.
