Melbourne Cup at the Royal Prince Edward Yacht Club
The Dining Room is set for the first Tuesday in November. Doors open at noon, the Moët is poured, the sweeps are drawn, and the field runs at five past three. Six courses come out of the kitchen across the afternoon and we call time at five.

Race sweeps run on arrival. Cash only for sweeps.
The menu
Canapés: fresh peeled prawns, oysters with champagne, tuna tartare on hash brown
To share: saffron scallop canelé, prosciutto di Parma with melon and buffalo mozzarella, charred octopus with ajo blanco chimichurri
Mains, a choice of: MB7 wagyu with peppercorn sauce, or miso glazed toothfish
Sides: rocket salad, hasselback potatoes
To finish: lemon vacherin
Moët & Chandon served throughout, one bottle per five guests.
