Canberra German Week 2026 - Science and Innovation Day

The Australian-German Science and Innovation Day is an integral part of the German Week festival across Australia. This year as part of Canberra German Week the event will be hosted at Australian National University and will provide contemporary insights and credible, first-hand experiences on current research and partnerships in the local Australian-German research community.

Researchers from across Canberra universities and local business innovators will also present on a wide range of topics.

Research ambassadors from DAAD will present on how to secure not only significant grants within the EU and DAAD funding schemes, but also how to connect with the Australian German Research Network (AGRN) and other German-speaking industry partners. Finally, DAAD Alumnus from Australia will share their stories of international exchange and where it has taken them.

Jointly organised by the Australian National University, DAAD - German Academic Exchange Service, the German Embassy in Canberra and the Australian-German Research Network, this day aims to catalyse new partnerships and lasting connections, an experience that will emerge after important discussions and networking at this event.
