Cha Dao, the Way of Tea, invites you into a practice of slowing down, softening, and returning to presence. Through the mindful preparation and sharing of tea, we allow the boundaries that separate us to dissolve. As we sit together in stillness, our awareness deepens and a natural clarity emerges. Over time, this simple yet profound ritual cultivates a steady inner peace and a renewed sense of connection with ourselves, each other, and the living world.
Tea began as a plant spirit medicine used by Shamans and Daoists before becoming an essential companion to Buddhist monks in the southern mountains. This ceremony continues that lineage of healing, devotion, and communion. We honour the teachers and traditions that have carried this path forward.
