The Forum will bring together timber frame and truss manufacturers with government, researchers, training organisations and industry to discuss the future of housing, MMC and prefabrication.
Presentations will set the scene, followed by facilitated table workshops designed to give manufacturers the opportunity to have their say, provide practical feedback and help shape what comes next.
The Forum is open to all Australian timber frame and truss manufacturers, both FTMA members and non-members. FTMA Partners will be invited, with other supplier members and industry participation by invitation only as numbers limited.
Speakers and sessions will include representatives from government, research, training and industry, covering major initiatives currently shaping housing, MMC and prefabrication.
The program will include the Future Framing Initiative, System 600, the John Curtin Research Centre’s housing work and National Demonstration, Melbourne Polytechnic’s Future of Housing Construction Centre of Excellence, and senior state and territory government representatives outlining their housing priorities and initiatives. Wherever possible, presentations will lead into facilitated workshops so delegates can question, discuss and provide direct feedback on what is being proposed.
