The Bayside Peninsula Area Early Childhood Improvement Branch, Health, Wellbeing and Specialist Services and Student Support Services workforces have collaborated to increase awareness of regional and area workforces that can help to strengthen transition practices from kindergarten to school.
During Terms 3 & 4 2026 Early Years Champions/Foundation Co-ordinators will receive fortnightly ‘Transition Tips’ and invites to attend a series of webinars focused on different aspects to support transition and continuity of learning.
The second webinar of the series will focus on an example of strong kindergarten to school transition practices from a school perspective. It will include information on policies, practices and systems that enable children and families to feel included, to build trust and better prepare for continuity of learning. Hear from Michelle Smith, Assistant Principal, Frankston Heights Primary School on how their school has used policies, strengthened partnerships and co designed a transition program to best meet the needs of their community.
