About
Join us for the launch of CSSV’s 2026 Victorian Election Statement and be part of a conversation about building a fairer Victoria.
As Victoria heads towards an election, hear about our key priorities for the 61st Parliament, developed through careful consultation, and join a panel discussion exploring Victoria’s current political moment, what vision we can hold to in these times, and how communities and individuals can advocate together for the future they would like to see.
We're delighted to be joined by a panel of leaders with experience across government, advocacy, social policy and service delivery:
-
The Hon. Bronwyn Pike AM, former Victorian Government Minister with portfolios including Housing, Health, Education and Community services. Bronwyn has also served as CEO of Uniting Vic.Tas.
-
Dr Dalal Smiley, CEO of Wellsprings for Women, Dalal is a strong community advocate for migrant and refugee communities, has previously been Multicultural Affairs Commissioner and has driven award-winning programs in local government.
-
Dr Paul Smyth (facilitator), former Professor of Social Policy at the University of Melbourne and Director of Research and Policy at the Brotherhood of St Laurence. Currently a lead researcher at the University of Divinity's Common Good Project, exploring how diverse religious traditions’ understanding of the common good can contribute to Australian society, policy and social cohesion.
You will have the opportunity to contribute and leave with practical ideas and resources to advocate for the issues that matter to you—grounded in your values.
We encourage all who are interested to attend.
