Centrestage - A Night of A Thousand Divas
Location
Hosted by
South Coast Choral and Arts Society Inc About
Centrestage is an event where performers of all backgrounds and experiences can showcase their talents in a supportive and inclusive environment. We offer an open-mic/cabaret style event where anyone can pre-register to perform, accompanied by our incredible house band. This time we are celebrating our performers with ‘A Night of A Thousand Divas’! We have left the interpretation of this theme entirely up to our performers. Some may think of Broadway greats like Bernadette Peters or Patti Lupone and sing a song from an iconic character they played. Others may choose to sing something written by someone who was a popular name on Broadway like Renee Rapp or Ben Platt. We have left it up to our performers to pick a song based on what the idea of a diva means to them. So, come along to hear your favourite show tunes - and maybe a few you’ve never heard before - from some of our region’s brightest and upcoming stars.
