About
Black Friday Comedy Special is your bargain Friday night out! Two 40 minute comedy shows for the price of one!
Rochdale Theatre, Friday 13 November 2026 from 7pm, back to back shows "Laughs with Luce" with Lucy Downey and "Silver Fox" with Odette.
LAUGHS WITH LUCE: Lucy is the creator of Laughs with Luce, a high-energy performer who blends comedy, storytelling, live music and physical theatre into unforgettable live entertainment. Originally from the UK and now based on the Mid North Coast of NSW, she draws on her experiences in nursing, teaching and world travel to share hilarious, heartfelt stories inspired by real life. Warm, engaging and full of energy, Lucy leaves audiences laughing long after the show is over.
ABOUT LUCY DOWNEY:Lucy Downey grew up in Bristol, England but has spent the last 20-odd years in Australia and beyond. She now resides on the Coffs coast. Whilst she’s been a storyteller all her life, her foray into comedy began relatively recently after her father encouraged her to get up on stage and share a few of her quirky tales. When Lucy is not trying to make you laugh, she can usually be found either in a classroom, in an aged care facility, or face down in a swimming pool. One of her greatest career highlights is completing her bus driver training.
SILVER FOX:Odette has questions. Why are chicken chip packets green? How do you fold a fitted sheet? Why do men get to be called a Silver Fox but women….aren’t?
“Silver Fox” is Odette’s largest show to date, and will attempt to answer these questions and more with flair, humour, and style.
Brace yourselves for forty minutes of physical comedy, wit, and song, sometimes all at the same time.
ABOUT ODETTE:Odette has been performing comedy and dabbling in TV Quiz Show stardom since 2019. She hosts Lismore’s only monthly open mic comedy show, and has performed in Sydney, Brisbane, and lots of places in between. She even performed once in Italy, so technically she’s an international comedian? She also made it to the 2025 QLD State Final of RAW Comedy – Australia’s biggest open mic comedy competition.
Praise for Odette:
"...hilarious, very endearing. The moment she walks on, you know you're in good hands." - Ting Lim (Fisk, Thank God You're Here)
"Easily the smartest person on the comedy circuit. Surprising wit with a feminist slant." - Vanessa Larry Mitchell
