We are excited to be hosting Peter T Harris an Adjunct Professor at the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies (IMAS) for the launch of his new book 'Mysterious Ocean' written as a guide to ocean sciences for non-experts, sparking interest in important unsolved mysteries of marine science. Harris will be joined in conversation by Associate Professor Rebecca Carey from the School of Natural Sciences at the University of Tasmania.
'Mysterious Ocean' traces the formation of the ocean 4 billion years ago, explains major theories like plate tectonics and ice ages and also examines current environmental issues. A great resource for anyone who wants a greater understanding on both the processes and threats that the ocean faces today.
