Welcome to Hooked 'n' Loopy Fibre Arts Beginner & Continuing Crochet Classes at the Para Hills Community Hub.
Our unique, self-paced workshop structure allows new students to join any week. Work comfortably at your own speed and pick up exactly where you left off each session.
How It Works:
- The Launchpad: Total beginners build confidence using 3 starter projects: a washcloth, a cozy beanie, and a stylish handbag.
- Continuing Education: Already know the basics? The class transforms into an open workshop. I will introduce new stitches, guide you through pattern reading, and help you work on the projects of your choosing!
Who is this for? Absolute beginners, refresher crafters, and advancing beginners looking for a supportive local creative community.
Key Details:
- When: Mondays from 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM (Select individual dates at checkout).
- Class Size: Strictly limited to 7 spots per session.

- Materials & Tools: Bring 10-ply cotton (e.g., Fiddlesticks Finch) or any 8-ply/DK yarn, plus 5mm & 6mm hooks, scissors, tape measure, and yarn needles. Yarn and a complete $10 starter kit are available to purchase from the instructor.
Your Instructor: Shanan has over 35 years of crocheting experience and 10+ years of teaching. Her sessions focus on building your confidence while unlocking the mindful, stress-relieving health benefits of fiber arts.
Booking & Cancellation Policy:
- Minimum Attendance: A minimum of 4 bookings per session must be met 8 days prior or the session will be cancelled (fully refunded).
- Changes: 14+ days notice for a full refund; 7–14 days for a 50% refund or class credit. Less than 7 days notice or no-shows cannot be refunded or credited. Tickets are fully transferable to another person. Send requests to hookednloopyfibrearts@gmail.com.
