About
Excited to bring this playful, happy song to life through semiclassical and folk inspired steps!
Over 4 weeks we will cover semiclassical technique looking at posture, lines, hand gestures, and common steps while applying it to a choreography. Each week is a 75min long session to give us enough time to learn at a steady pace without overloading the mind. We'll have the opportunity to film the finished choreography in the final session where you can see how far you've come!
Song: Konjum Mainaakkale from Kandukondain Kandukondain
š Date & Time: Saturdays 17, 24, 31 October and 7 November. 10:15am-11:30am.
š Location: La Encantada Collective, 69 Abbotsford Street, West Melbourne
All are welcome! There are so many layers and textures to add to dance that there will be something in this for everyone regardless of previous training / dance experience!
Booking: Limited spots available - secure your spot now!
šø Divya is a trained bharatanatyam and training kathak dancer, with experience across semiclassical, belly, south, and bollywood styles too. She has been a dance performer for many years across different styles and has choreographed for several different events and now runs workshops and classes in Melbourne.
Divya believes dance is fundamentally about joy and believes in helping people in her classes let loose, have fun, and achieve the dance they want to regardless of previous training!
