Brisbane South Wildcats 2027 M-League Trials

Nominations are now open for the Brisbane South Wildcats 2027 Men’s Opens Trials.

The Brisbane South Wildcats Men’s program continues to grow, providing male athletes with the opportunity to represent Brisbane South and be part of the developing Wildcats Men’s performance pathway.

TRIAL INFORMATION

MEN’S OPENS TRIAL
Sunday 25 October 2026 | 10:00am–12:00pm
Beenleigh State High School

All nominated athletes will attend the trial.

Athletes will be assessed across fundamental skills, movement, position-specific skills, coachability and structured gameplay.

Athletes will nominate two preferred playing positions as part of their nomination.

ELIGIBILITY

The Brisbane South Wildcats Men’s Opens trial is open to athletes aged 16 years and over from all Associations and regions.

Athletes do not need to have previously represented Brisbane South Wildcats or played for one of our affiliated Associations to nominate.

The M-League Opens competition has a minimum age of 16 years. Competition Manual 2026

Athletes will be asked to provide their recent playing history, including previous M-League experience, current Club/Association and whether they have trialled for Queensland Suns for the 2027 season.

WILDCATS BOYS ACADEMY

As part of the continued growth of our Men’s pathway, Brisbane South Wildcats is also proposing a Boys Academy.

Athletes will have the opportunity within their nomination to indicate whether they would be interested in being considered for the proposed Boys Academy.

The Academy will provide an additional opportunity to identify and develop male athletes within the Brisbane South region and broader Wildcats pathway.

Indicating interest does not guarantee selection into the Boys Academy.

PLAYER COMMITMENT

Selection into a Brisbane South Wildcats program requires a significant commitment from athletes.

Athletes accepting a position must be prepared to commit to:

• The financial commitment associated with player fees
• The full Brisbane South Wildcats High Performance Program
• Completion of all required program components
• Weekly team training
• Strength & Conditioning requirements
• Required competitions and team activities
• The standards, behaviours and expectations of Brisbane South Wildcats

A Player Contract will be provided to successful athletes outlining KPIs, player expectations and commitments that must be adhered to throughout the season.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Trial Nomination Fee: $40

• Each athlete must complete an individual nomination.
• Athletes must be 16 years or older.
• Athletes must nominate two preferred playing positions.
• The trial is open to athletes from all Associations and regions.
• Previous Brisbane South Wildcats involvement is not required.
• Submission of a nomination does not guarantee selection.
• The $40 trial nomination fee is non-refundable.
• Further trial information will be communicated to athletes prior to the event.
