This Term 4, we’re getting hands-on with sculpture in a fun, relaxed and inspiring 6-week creative block designed especially for tweens and teens (11 to 17 year olds).
From clay and plaster to wire, paint and mixed media, young artists will explore the exciting world of three-dimensional art while developing their own creative ideas and learning new techniques along the way. Sculpture is a fantastic way for young artists to work differently from traditional drawing and painting. They’ll be using their hands to bend, mould, construct, shape, carve, layer and transform materials, discovering how an idea can become something they can actually hold and see from every angle.
Young Artists @ Flourish is more than just an art class. It’s a chance for teens to meet other creative young people, make new arty friends and spend time in a welcoming studio environment where they can be themselves and explore their creativity without pressure.
Our classes are designed to be relaxed, inclusive and supportive, giving young people the freedom to experiment, and develop their own creative voice.
Classes are led by Jeht Burgoyne, a qualified Art teacher and practising artist with over 20 years’ experience teaching art classes and inspiring young people and adults to explore their creativity.
Jeht’s approach is all about encouraging young artists to have a go, build confidence, develop skills and discover what they’re capable of, while creating a safe and positive space where every young person can learn at their own pace.
Whether they’re already passionate about art or simply looking for something creative and different to try, this sculpture block is a great opportunity to get off the screen, get making and discover the joy of creating with your hands.
