About
2027 will start with a blast for the Australasian Orchestra (AO) with Dmitri Shostakovich's masterful Symphony No. 10 in E minor Op. 93 being the major orchestral work in its summer concert. Joining it will be Maurice Ravel's picturesque Pavane pour une infante défunte, Camille Saint-Saëns's always enjoyable and tantalising Danse Macabre and Melbourne composer Alisha Redmond's recent and beautiful work Star Birth.
If you love live performance and any form of grand orchestral music, THIS is truly a concert not to be missed! We very much look forward to hopefully sharing it with you.
Bookings are advised.
- The event has unallocated seating. The auditorium's doors open at 1.30pm.
ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION:
- The auditorium (incl. foyer) is street level accessible via sloped ground access (the auditorium’s 1st row of seats is on the same level).
- 10 seats are automatically reserved in the bottom 2 rows of the seating bank for people with accessibility needs.
- Best auditorium wheelchair access is via the stage door (due to the audience’s main auditorium door’s narrow width). To assist with stage door access, kindly inform ticket desk staff upon arrival.
