A mid-week retreat inspired by Wendell Berry offers a peaceful opportunity to slow down, reconnect with nature, and reflect on the importance of community and simple living. Berry’s writings encourage us to step away from the hurried pace of modern life and appreciate the land, relationships, and everyday work that give life meaning. During the retreat, participants will spend time walking through the countryside, sharing meals, reading Berry’s poems and essays, and discussing ideas about sustainability, farming, and responsible living. The Abbey is the perfect space for reflection, reminding participants of Berry’s belief that caring for the earth and for one another is an essential part of a meaningful life.

With a passion for companioning others in their spiritual journeys, she explores the divine presence in our lives and the world. Christine’s vibrant interests, from unexpected pursuits like boxing to the tranquillity of tea in a sunlit spot, reflect her dynamic and multifaceted approach to life.
