About
Join a very talented cast of some of Adelaide's finest singers that include SOSA's Andrew Crispe and Emma Kavanagh in this exciting new musical at the Star Theatre, Adelaide.
Following on from the success of the 2026 Adelaide Fringe Festival where audience members described the show as "amazing" "the music was incredible" "brilliant" "very entertaining", ESTHER The Queen is a climatic 2 act ‘Broadway Opera’ style musical with an epic score, sweeping melodies, big ballads, a bit of pop, and some rap sprinkled in. You'll be singing the songs before you leave the theatre!
Come journey through this inspirational story with its heroine the most unlikely of heroes from ancient Persia where political intrigue, betrayal at the highest level, personal ambition and conquest, a plot to assassinate the king, and remorse for past actions exists.
ESTHER The Queen has seen development here in Adelaide and in New York through Create Theater.
Book, music, and lyrics are by creative Michael Riggs.
