2026 Twilight Tournament

Dates of Play:
Mon 12th - Thu 22nd October

Format of play.
This is an Association Croquet event.

Games are played between 5pm and 9.55pm Monday to Saturday.

Sunday play is between 5pm and 8pm (no lights on a Sunday).

Entries close 9.00am Friday 9 October.
Games can only be played during the twilights hours as described above. Rescheduled games cannot be played in a morning or afternoon.
Games are 2 hours, stop on the bell, Advanced Handicap format.
Round Robin played in 2 divisions based on a player’s handicap with a play off between the respective winners In each division.

Players make their own game arrangements, the tournament manager will not be scheduling games.

Handicap divisions are:     
- Div 1: 11 and below 
- Div 2: 12 - 20

PRELIMINARY ROUNDS

In the preliminary rounds each division is played on the basis of bisques awarded according to the score at the start of each turn.

4   Hoops ahead yield 1 bisque to the opponent
6   Hoops ahead yields 2 bisques to the opponent
8   Hoops ahead yields 3 bisques to the opponent
10 Hoops ahead yields 4 bisques to the opponent

In addition, a novice player with a handicap of 20 with less than 3 years experience will receive 2 bisques at the start of play.

Sportsmanship: It is not acceptable if 3 hoops ahead, a player continually separates the opponent, then joins up with partner ball and makes no serious attempt to make further hoops.
