Mentalisation-Informed Parent-Led Interventions: Bridging Behavioural Strategies and Relational Understanding in the Treatment of Childhood Anxiety

About the Presenters:
Dr Chris Ludlow: Chris is a Lecturer in Psychology at Swinburne University. He is the developer and clinical supervisor of One Step at a Time, a parent-led intervention program for childhood anxiety delivered at the Swinburne Psychology Clinic, integrating cognitive behavioural therapy with mentalisation-informed and reflective parenting approaches.
James Morello: James Morello is a clinical psychologist with more than 17 years of experience providing therapeutic support to children, adolescents, and families. He works across educational and private-practice settings, providing psychological assessment, intervention, and consultation for children and young people with a range of developmental, emotional, and mental health needs. James is also the founder of Young Minds Collective, a child and adolescent psychology practice in Gippsland, Victoria. His clinical
and research interests include childhood anxiety, trauma, neurodiversity, reflective parenting, and the integration of mentalization principles into parent-led cognitive behavioural therapy.
