Adult Craft Club Night - Creepy Halloween Kinusaiga

Craft Club is your chance to try a new, fun and creative activity each month in the company of friends and other crafty types, without needing to source all of the supplies!
We are offering two different types of sessions for Halloween (because there are just too many spooky crafts to try!) - Kooky Decor and Creepy Kinusaiga. Choose one or the other or come to both!
In these Creepy Halloween Kinusaiga sessions we will each be making a Halloween themed artwork using the Japanese art form of Kinusaiga, a technique that uses fabric scraps to create patchwork-like pictures with no paint or sewing.
For this Halloween version, we will have many artwork designs to choose from including skulls, ghosts, pumpkins, bats, witches, cats & more with both creepy and cute styles available. The design is then cut in to a foam board (20 cm x 20 cm) with a layer of adhesive over the top. Pieces of fabric are laid over each adhesive section, and the fabric edges are gently tucked into the grooves with a sewing tool, creating a smooth, mosaic-like image. Both Halloween themed fabric and regular fabric options will be available. We don't have box frames available this time around, but we will show you how to finish the edges nicely using fabric so your artwork still looks polished and finished.
All materials are provided, but if you have some special fabric scraps that you want to include, please feel free to bring them along. You can also bring along your own design, but we suggest a maximum of 20 pieces for your first artwork.
This craft is totally beginner friendly with no experience sewing experience required. We will walk you through the process step by step so you feel supported in creating your artwork.
Come by yourself and make some new crafty friends, or bring your besties for a relaxing and creative catch up. There is even a discounted deal for groups of 3, so get the girls (or guy pals) on board before you book.
Although these are adult crafts, this night session is suitable for those aged 16+. Participants aged 16-18 must be accompanied by a paying parent/guardian/adult. Our afternoon sessions are suitable for ages 12+ with participants aged 12-18 needing to be accompanied.
You can request a refund up to 1 week before the event. Credit for future events in our workshop space can be requested up until 2 days before the event. No refunds will be given for late cancellations or no shows.
