About
Grin and Dandy presents Mystiko!
A comedy show of completely improvised modern myths, based on the ancient ones.
Life today is full of mysteries. The ancients had answers that only give us more questions. Did an unlikely team-up between Hephaestus and Apollo create wifi? Are dating apps a clever compromise to settle Aphrodite and Eros’ fuss over a certain mortal? Does your morning commute have something to do with a trick that a trio of angry nymphs are failing to play on Hermes?
Join George and Demi, as Ares and Artemis and Poseidon and Hera and Cupid and Nemesis and a goat and possibly King Agamemnon and perhaps even a blind oracle and maybe others more known and less known, as they attempt to uncover the hidden stories that explain our daily lives. They’ll do this on the spot by making up new folklore that plays with Greek and Roman classical mythology.
There will be laughs and light accompaniment with the electric lyre, Muses willing. And, it’s a different show every night, Zeus willing.
Perfect for myth lovers, story lovers, worshippers of any kind of muse, improv enthusiasts, Greeks, Romans, and all people who love to uncover the cause of things.
