An afternoon in Versailles

About
Laura Vaughan and her viola da gamba have provided a rock in the shifting sands of early music performance in Australia. Laura's extensive enquiries into historical performance techniques are overlaid with sophisticated interpretation and awesome technical mastery, providing audiences with exquisite music that is both in the moment, and yet recalling the lost sounds of performances long ago.
In this concert, Laura is joined by long-time collaborator and cofounder of the esteemed chamber ensemble Latitude 37, Dr Donald Nicolson, accompanying on harpsichord. They will be performing French music from the glorious epoch of the Sun King and Versailles, from the 17th/18th Centuries.
Kindly refrain from wearing oversized wigs to this event, out of consideration for those seated behind you. BYO fan and court gossip!
