The Royal Society of Tasmania and the East Coast Heritage Museum invite you to a special event celebrating the art of Louisa Anne Meredith, with the opening of Louisa Anne Meredith: An Exhibition of Rarely Seen Nineteenth-Century Art and the East Coast launch of the Royal Society of Tasmania’s art catalogue, A World Apart.
Artist and naturalist Louisa Anne Meredith spent much of her life on Tasmania’s East Coast, where she painted the local flora and fauna and captured the region’s landscapes and sea views in her writing and art.
You will also have the opportunity to view and purchase the new RST art publication, A World Apart. This showcases the Society’s remarkable collection of artworks, including the largest collection of Louisa Anne Meredith’s works held anywhere.
