John's first travel memoir, 'On the Road...with Kids', won the Qld People's Choice Book of the Year in 2015. This new release describes his hilarious, emotional and confronting journey through the wild heart of Africa. Hear yarns of how John and his mate Tim stumble from one life-threatening situation to the next, until finally, a rookie error lands John in a Kenyan jail, struggling for life. Part travel story, part love story, part moral reckoning, this unforgettable adventure reminds us that the journeys we don't plan are often the ones that transform us the most.
