About

Mayumi Mullins is a musician who has evolved many times over from her early sound, but always has the spirit of an emerging musician. For this night she will perform some songs on guitar, some on keyboard, with her soprano vocals and folk-pop aesthetic. She will also perform songs from her other projects Tofu Sandwiches and Galahsong Recovery Project. She’s launching a heap of merch at this gig, recently made vinyls, cassettes and CDs.

Opening the night, Matt and Vannie is a songwriting duo from Melbourne. Their music blends indie/folk, melody driven alternative styles. They are inspired by such acts as The Beatles, Radiohead, Bob Dylan, The Smashing Pumpkins and loads of classical music. Their tunes tell stories to express emotional experiences. Since 2023 they have released various singles and two albums called “Opal Song” and “Things can get better” Their song “Magic Faraway Tree” has attracted many listeners recently. Matt and Vannie’s music is gentle, but not weak. It is real “music to hold hands to”.

Damen Samuel blends Folk, Rock, Jazz and Soul with a hauntingly expressive voice and a gift for storytelling. From his beginnings in East Germany to the music scenes of New York and stages around the world, Damen has spent years connecting with audiences through songs of life, love and the human experience. Damen is currently promoting his new album Goodbye Tomorrow.
