Ancient Rome Craft- WEEK 2: ROMAN MOSAICS & ART
About
Join Poppy, National Young Historian Award winner, for a fun-filled morning exploring one of her favourite topics - Ancient Rome!
Each session begins with a short, child-friendly educational component led by Poppy, who is excited to share her passion and knowledge with other curious kids, before moving into plenty of hands-on crafting.
WEEK TWO: ROMAN MOSAICS & ART
Children will discover how the Ancient Romans used mosaics and art to decorate their homes and public spaces, exploring the patterns, pictures and designs found in surviving Roman artworks and what they can tell us about life in Ancient Rome.
Then, it’s time to get creative! Children will make their own Roman-inspired mosaic to take home, as well as designing and decorating their own Roman-inspired tile using patterns and motifs from Ancient Roman art.
Designed to be fun, creative and educational — perfect for kids who love history, making things, or simply learning something new with friends.
