About

We are the only demonstrator who offers this style of program!!

A little about us….

We have been a mobile exhibitor on the coast for several years now visiting and educating a range of community groups with our crew of critters!  While this has been amazing (and still offer this service), we wanted to offer more than just a stand up show and tell experience.  We decided that our aim was to provide a more holistic approach, so thats when we designed our term program for a range of community groups to enjoy!

Here’s a little about the Homeschooling Program workshops…..

Our workshops have been designed to give attendees an introduction to our amazing wildlife and environment.

Where we differ from your usual “wildlife stand up” presentations, participants will be given the opportunity to learn a variety of skills and knowledge through a holistic approach combining education, science, art and of course live animals!

Workshops are presented using a combination of powerpoint presentation, images, videos and live animals.  They are broken up into manageable blocks to ensure participants don’t get overwhelmed with information and can take breaks when need.

To complement the theory, we run little experiments throughout the duration where everyone gets the opportunity to use items such as temperature guns and microscopes to “record data and explore the world of science”.  We split the time within the workshop between theory and art where participants can use their creative skills in a range of art activities such as creating, painting and much more. We have found this reinforces the content learnt allowing participants to have a sound understanding of the animal.  All materials are supplied in each workshop and all items made are taken home by participants.

Across the program, children will explore a wide variety of topics such as snakes, frogs, insects, plants, marsupials, birds, turtles, lizards, and oceans. Some sessions will include the chance to meet live animals up close, providing a truly memorable and engaging experience. Each week combines education, art, and science, ensuring a rich and well-rounded learning opportunity.

Our primary aim is to not only provide information and facts about some of our cool little critters living in our neighbourhoods, but to also provide information on how we can all help and protect native wildlife, even the ones hiding in our backyards!

There are always 2 presenters.  The presenter and a teachers aide.  All staff have blue cards, yellow cards and police checked.  We are also certified support workers and have current first aid certificates.  This program can accept NDIS funding however, it is the responsibility of the participants to check with Support Cordinators or Plan Managers for apprival prior ro commencing.

Please note that we cannot offer 1:1 support.  Any attendee that requires assistance, must be accompanied with either a guardian or support worker.
