Ancient Rome Craft-WEEK 3: ROMAN ENGINEERING & ENTERTAINMENT

Date

About

Join Poppy, National Young Historian Award winner, for a fun, hands-on morning exploring one of her favourite topics - Ancient Rome!

Each session begins with a short, child-friendly educational component led by Poppy, who is excited to share her passion and knowledge with other curious kids, before moving into plenty of hands-on crafting.

WEEK THREE: ROMAN ENGINEERING & ENTERTAINMENT
Children will discover how the Ancient Romans became incredible builders and engineers, exploring roads, aqueducts, arches and the Colosseum. They’ll also discover how the Colosseum was used for entertainment and what happened inside its enormous arena.

Then, it’s time to get creative! Children will put their own building and problem-solving skills to the test as they construct their own Roman Colosseum, take on some hands-on Roman engineering challenges, and design and decorate their own gladiator shield to take home.

Designed to be fun, creative and educational — perfect for kids who love history, building things, or simply learning something new with friends.
