CHAPMANS 2026 PHOTOSHOOT

We’re so excited for our upcoming Chapmans Photo Days! We want to make the experience as personal, enjoyable and stress-free as possible for all of our dancers and families.

HOW THE SESSIONS WORK
Photo Day sessions are primarily focused on individual photos of each dancer. Each session will include 2–3 dancers, allowing us to use a rotating system throughout the session. While one dancer is being photographed, the other dancers can change into their next costume and prepare for their turn. This helps us maximise photography time, minimise time lost to costume changes and capture as much variety as possible within each session. Although sessions are shared, dancers will be photographed individually, with sibling or friend photos included where requested and scheduling allows. Each dancer will receive all final edited images of themselves from their session.

WHAT’S INCLUDED? 
Each dancer will receive all final edited images taken of their dancer during their session, including any sibling/friend images where applicable. There is no need to select or purchase individual images after Photo Day – your complete final digital gallery will be emailed directly to you once editing is complete.

PLEASE NOTE
The final photography schedule will be released once bookings have closed. We will do our best to accommodate preferred dates, availability, costume requests and sibling/friend photos. Session allocations are subject to availability and minimum booking numbers. 

ON THE DAY
Please arrive 10–15 minutes before your allocated session time, dressed and ready to be photographed in your first costume. Hair and makeup are completely your own choice, provided they are neat, tidy and photo-ready. Dancers should arrive with their hair and makeup completed, where applicable. For dancers being photographed in multiple costumes, we recommend having all costumes organised and ready to make changing as quick and easy as possible. Please remember that changing time forms part of your allocated session, so slower changes may reduce the number of costumes we are able to photograph. We kindly ask that all dancers arrive on time. Unfortunately, late arrivals may reduce the amount of photography time available, and sessions cannot be extended where another group is scheduled immediately afterwards.

SIBLING & FRIEND PHOTOS
All dancers must purchase a package. Dancers are welcome to request a photo with a sibling or friend who is also participating in Photo Day. We will do our best to coordinate the schedule to make this possible, however sibling and friend photos cannot be guaranteed. Please note that these photos will be taken within your allocated session time and are not an additional photography session.

COOPERATION & SESSION EXPERIENCE
Our number one priority during Photo Days is making sure each dancer has a positive, comfortable and enjoyable experience in front of the camera. We understand that every dancer is different, particularly our younger students, and cooperation on the day can sometimes be unpredictable. Our team will do their very best to help dancers feel comfortable, assist with posing, encourage them and give them time to settle if they are feeling shy or unsure. We will always prioritise the dancer’s experience over getting a certain number of photos. For this reason, the number and variety of images captured may vary between dancers depending on their confidence, cooperation, costume changes and the natural flow of the session. We’ll do everything we can to capture beautiful images while keeping the experience fun and pressure-free.

Would you like some extra time in front of the camera?
If you would like additional photography time, more time for costume changes or simply more opportunity to capture a wider variety of images, we recommend purchasing two sessions

PLEASE NOTE: We recommend that our Varsity students book their Photo Day session for Saturday 31 October or Sunday 1 November, where possible, to allow additional time for all new costumes to arrive and be available for their photoshoot.

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
As photographers, staffing and session times are arranged based on bookings, please choose your package carefully. Once the final Photo Day schedule has been created, bookings are non-refundable for change of mind or inability to attend your allocated session. If you have an unexpected circumstance, please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to assist where we can.

PHOTO USE & CONSENT
Photos captured during Chapmans Dance Photo Days may be used by Chapmans Dance for studio social media, website and promotional purposes. Please indicate during booking if you do NOT give permission for your Childs images to be used for these purposes.
