About

Join Christina Keeble for this live 2 hour webinar: Interoception in ECE: Teaching Kids How to Recognise Their Body Signals.

This event has been created after an overwhelmingly successful presentation Christina ran at the ECA Conference this year on Protecting Children & Interoception: Teaching Kids to Recognise their Body Signals where we delved into the importance of supporting children to develop their interoceptive awareness as a protective factor.

Interoception is our 8th sense and gives us body signals about what is happening to us inside our body. Understanding the messages our body is giving us through our body signals is a foundational skill to understanding ourselves and being able to respond or act in response to those messages from our body.

Interoceptive awareness is a pre-requisite to developing self regulation. When we can recognise the messages our body is giving us through our body signals, we are able to respond to them or seek help and support. Our body signals communicate everything from feeling hungry to feeling unsafe.

This follow up event will review what interoception is and delve deeper into how to teach children to recognise their body signals. There will also be a Q&A session at the end of the presentation.

Christina Keeble is an AuDHD PDAer and mother of 2 neurodivergent children. She is an Early Childhood and Primary trained teacher with a background in psychology.
