THE WEIGHT (MA15+)
During the height of the Great Depression, incarcerated war veteran Samuel Murphy (Ethan Hawke) is torn from his young daughter and sent to a brutal Oregon labor camp. To secure an early release and prevent his daughter from becoming a ward of the state, Murphy accepts a dangerous, off-the-books deal from Warden Clancy (Russell Crowe) to smuggle a fortune in gold across 100 miles of treacherous wilderness. Alongside a small crew of fellow inmates, he must survive rough terrain, ambushers, and lethal internal betrayals to successfully complete the heist and reunite with his family.
